The A-Z of Organising an Exhibition
This intensive short course is aimed at those wanting to learn the key skills necessary to conceive, stage, and manage contemporary art exhibitions. The day long course will guide students through all the stages of mounting an exhibition including; initial planning and budgeting through fund raising, marketing and writing press releases to the hanging and opening itself, and finally evaluation. The course is ideal for those with an interest in curating, arts management, arts education or practising artists wishing to mount their own exhibitions.
The day will cover the following topics:
Initiating Projects – Your Vision and Plan.
Budgeting for Beginners.
Exhibition Organisation and Design.
Without an Audience there is no Exhibition - Marketing.
Assessing the Outcome.
Length: 5 hours (10-4 including one hour for lunch)
